Thistle is a great-grand of Stefania Dignum's 'Grey Pet', one of the second flock of imports to North America of Icelandic sheep. Thistle shares the large rumen and wonderful horning as well as thick, soft thel-dominant fleece of her ancestor. This white Icelandic beauty has a calm and friendly disposition. She is large and chesty, and an attentive milky mother to her fast-growing lambs with great fleeces. Thistle carries and may be spotted, and carries and may be moorit.

Liesl is a big-bodied and very friendly polled black gray ewe and our first Icelandic sheep at Stonemeadow. She is an excellent mother who twinned unassisted her first year lambing, and she was a triplet herself. Leisl is prolific milker - she has a huge udder and she passes that trait on to her lambs.

Belladonna is a big twin ewe with soft, fine black wool with lots of lovely tog and thick thel. Her wool is starting to silver, which makes it a beautiful charcoal color. She had twins as a yearling and is very milky. Belladonna is especially friendly and has a really sweet personality. Her sire is a horned ram but she is polled like her mother, so she carries mixed horning genetics.

Aspen has the most gorgeous long and soft white fleece, and he's so friendly and wags his tail when you scratch him. A twin to our largest ewe, he has great conformation and very fast growth rate, long body and very wide horns. One testicle never descended so we won't be using him for breeding purposes since we have so many other fine rams. We're selling Aspen priced accordingly at a real bargain price for an Icelandic sheep.
